Initial Inquiry
If you’ve decided it’s time to upgrade your living space, Shore Builders, Inc. is here not just as a contractor, but as a trusted guide and resource to bring your vision to life. We’re happy to answer your initial questions and help you establish a realistic budget to achieve your project goals.

Conceptual Design/Initial Proposal
We will meet with you both on-site and in our office to understand your priorities and style. We encourage you to bring design ideas that inspire you. With this information, we’ll prepare an initial proposal. If design professionals are needed, we’ll move forward with a Design Services Agreement (DSA) to create a complete set of buildable plans, ensuring your project is ready to bring to life.

Contract
Once the project scope is finalized, we’ll prepare the final contract. We establish a clear schedule, a target completion date, and a transparent payment plan tied to project milestones. While challenges can arise during construction, we work diligently to minimize surprises and avoid change orders. Minor adjustments to the project scope can still be accommodated as we move forward.

Material Selections
Once you’ve decided to move forward with Shore Builders, Inc., we’ll connect you with designers from our trusted partner suppliers to select cabinets, appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and tile. In addition, Shore Builders’ in-house designers and draftsmen can create realistic renderings, helping you visualize the finished space and ensuring every element comes together seamlessly.

Pre-Construction/Project Schedule
This is when our construction team becomes fully involved in your project. We’ll develop a detailed timeline and begin ordering the necessary materials. Any permits required will be obtained, and we’ll coordinate with all subcontractors needed for your project. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the contractors working on your home and review the construction timeline.

Construction
When your project’s start date arrives, construction begins. Throughout the process, we’ll maintain open communication to keep you informed and ensure everything stays on track. Your project manager will be on-site regularly to oversee progress, making sure the work stays on schedule and aligns with your vision.

Punch-Out/Closeout
Once construction is complete, we’ll conduct a thorough walkthrough with you to ensure the project exceeds your expectations. Any necessary adjustments will be made, and your project will be finalized to your satisfaction.
